A2B Tracking would like to announce the support for enhanced fixed RFID Gateway readers — providing automated asset tracking visibility.
By taking advantage of choke points, or egresses, such as doorways in a warehouse or office environment, users are able to leverage Impinj Fixed RFID readers at these key points to capture and monitor all asset movement. This enhanced Fixed RFID Gateway technology provides “Always-on” inventory tracking capability that will record last known location of an asset as well as as direction of asset movements.
The A2B Tracking Asset Management platform allows for tracking of single items or many items on a cart, on a pallet jack or on a forklift as they flow throughout the area of operation. The Impinj Gateway is able to automatically read many RFID tags as the assets move through the chokepoint. All inventory movement is recorded and tracked providing a complete audit history.
This automated asset tracking system works behind the scenes to track assets as they move throughout the facility without the need for human intervention. This system significantly improves the accuracy and visibility of asset and inventory management while improving operational efficiencies.
Once an item is beyond the range of the Fixed reader the user can take advantage of the A2B Tracking mobile RFID technology. Mobile RFID readers, using a smartphone or touch computer, can quickly and easily navigate a facility. The A2B Tracking proprietary Pro-LocateTM feature interrogates the facility for a single missing asset searching the area with RFID until the software reports a successful find. Pro-Locate reduces search time for missing assets from many hours to just a few minutes.
