Mobile RFID Solutions

Mobile RFID solutions provide the ability to perform incredibly efficient RFID inventories and cycle counts – up to thousands of items per hour. This kind of automated data capture is unheard of with barcode solutions because barcode readers inherently require a line of sight with the barcode. RFID readers, in contrast, do not need a line of sight with the label. By taking advantage of RF technology the scanners have the ability to read hundreds of assets per second.

The Zebra RFD40 handheld in conjunction with the TC26 touch computer provides powerful Mobile RFID reading that can perform fast and accurate inventory cycle counts.

Validation and counting of inventory prior to shipment, or at the time of receipt, is a great use of Mobile RFID. Fast and accurate inventory counts can be performed on shipments, or groups of assets, to quickly confirm that the items are all there and accounted for.

These portals provide hands-free and always-on monitoring and will automatically capture assets as they go through the read zone.

The power of Fixed RFID solutions is that inventories are captured autonomously – without workers needing to do anything. With properly located portals, assets naturally move through your facility and are automatically captured and recorded in the inventory management system with a time, date and updated location. This kind of autonomous data capture reduces human errors and improves inventory accuracy to near 100%.

Fork-Lift RFID Readers

Zebra offers an RFID enabled pallet that provides forklift drivers the ability to easily run designated routes safely throughout the warehouse to perform physical inventories. The pallet reader contains an array of sophisticated RFID antennas designed to perform inventory cycle counts quickly and efficiently. As the forklift operator drives around the facility, the pallet reader is able to transmit asset data seamlessly to the software platform in real time. The pallet reader is equipped with an 8-hour battery to provide plenty of time to perform cycle counts in between charging.
