The NPMA SES conference is designed to bring together government property management professionals for education, networking and certification along with industry experts to showcase cutting-edge technology services and solutions. This year’s NPMA SES conference theme is Property with Altitude.

 

Tracking IT Assets with RFID

Sharrieff Christmas will present on Wed, April 10th on the importance of accurately and efficiently tracking IT assets. His featured presentation is entitled Tracking IT Assets with RFID Technology.

Mr Christmas will explain how modern organizations, particularly those managing government property, need to be able to automate their IT asset management process in order to maintain an accurate inventory and be able to track and locate specific assets at a moments’ notice. This is sure to be a popular session as inventory accuracy and property accountability have become increasingly important with Property Managers that see a need to leverage technology to improve their audit readiness initiatives.

A Closer Look at the new GFP Module

Pat Jacklets will host an interactive session to take a Closer look at the new GFP Module. This session will discuss the importance of accurately managing and reporting Government Furnished Property (or GFP). The GFP Module is a new Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment Application that is designed to consolidate all GFP tools into a single location in the DoD’s online Procurement Toolbox. Pat will demonstrate how Property Managers can take advantage of this module and streamline their operations.

NPMA SES Conference2019 Audit Readiness Update

On Thursday April 11th Sharrieff Christmas will host a session to discuss the importance of the DoD’s FIAR Initiative and how Congress, the White House and the Pentagon are eager to achieve accountability.  The 2019 Audit Readiness Update will discuss the department-wide goal to achieve sustained audit readiness and will provide you with a quick background on the FIAR Initiative, as well as an update on the current status. Sharrieff Christmas will outline the steps that Property Managers need to take to achieve accountability and prepare for a full financial statement audit. This session is sure to be a highlight of the conference.

Pat Jacklets, CPPM CF, has more than 35 years of experience in property management and was formerly the Manager of Property Management for Northrop Grumman’s Aerospace Systems Sector Eastern Region.
