The A2B Tracking RFID Platform has been validated at Zebra’s Global Enablement Center for the RFD8500 mobile reader in conjunction with general Android smartphones and Samsung’s A20 phone.
Portsmouth, RI – [December 28, 2020] – A2B Tracking announced it has successfully completed Zebra Technologies‘ Validated Program for use with the Zebra RFD8500 handheld RFID reader coupled to Android smart phones, or specifically connected to the Samsung A20 phone in conjunction with the A2B Tracking RFID Platform. This Zebra designation indicates to customers and partners that the A2B Tracking platform was successfully tested – confirming its performance and functionality with select Zebra devices as well as with modern “off the shelf” mobile technology.
Zebra RFD8500 Validation
Working closely with Zebra engineering teams, A2B Tracking has tested its RFID Tracking platform for interoperability with the Zebra RFD 8500 sled in conjunction with Android smartphones (with version 4.4 or higher) and the Samsung A20 smartphone.
The A2B Tracker app operates seamlessly on Android smartphones (with version 4.4 or higher) and specifically the Samsung A20 phone which all connect via Bluetooth to the Zebra RFD8500 to manage critical asset tracking features such as performing inventories, editing asset details, check in and check out, cycle counts and more. A2B Tracking’s proprietary Pro-Locate™ feature leverages RFID and your Samsung smartphone to efficiently search entire facilities to find a specific asset.
