Peter Collins, A2B Tracking’s, founder and CEO, will be a featured speaker at the BlueStar Supply Chain Summit this week in Key West, Florida. This BlueStar event will bring together leading supply chain professionals and technology providers from across the country to discuss the latest changes in the supply chain industry and the technology solutions available to address these critical issues. 

RFID Today in the Supply Chain

Peter Collins will present a session on RFID Today in the Supply Chain to discuss how RFID Tracking is making a huge impact on the supply chain through improved efficiencies and higher productivity. The organizations that are getting RFID right are reaping huge benefits, but many organizations are struggling with the implementation. Peter will discuss how to think strategically about an RFID implementation and outline the key components to find the fastest and the most practical path to success.

Supply Chain RFID Panel Discussions

Peter will also be joining two panel discussions during the Supply Chain Summit. On Tuesday, he will join a panel of thought leaders including Mark Wheeler from Zebra Technologies and others to discuss Modern RFID Innovation and Opportunities. On Wednesday, Peter will join a panel discussion to share his thoughts on the future direction of Supply Chain technology and how organizations need to choose wisely when moving forward with new technology. The panel intends to discuss the importance of embracing change while at the same time finding success and a proper return on their technology investments.  

About Peter Collins

Mr. Collins has worked with many industries including manufacturing, logistics and the Department of Defense, on the development and deployment of cloud-based Asset Management systems and the implementation of Auto ID policies such as barcode and RFID. Collins lead the effort when United Parcel Service (UPS) contracted with A2B Tracking to develop the UPS Trackpad® parcel tracking system starting in the mid-90s.

As former Vice President of AIM (Automatic Identification and Mobility), he was a founding member of the AIT Alliance Committee. Collins has acted as Program Director, providing oversight of managerial support and execution for the massive, enterprise-wide Air Force part marking effort as well as similar projects for the US Army and Navy.

Collins received the ID Global Leadership Award in 2009 for his role in worldwide adoption of IUID. He has lead A2B Tracking to numerous awards for being among the top in Defense Technology and in Business Excellence. Collins holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
